  • FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
  • "Taste of Music Champagne Gala," a fundraiser for the Anna Maria Island Community Chorus and Orchestra (AMICCO), will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 6-9 p.m. at a waterfront residence overlooking Tampa Bay and the Skyway Bridge in Northwest Bradenton.
  • Suggested donation for the "Taste of Music Champagne Gala" is $50 per person, which includes champagne and wine, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, dessert buffet, music on the pool deck, dancing under the stars, a raffle for a one week stay at a spectacular three bedroom/three bath tri-level home overlooking Anini Beach in Kauai and a 50-50 raffle.
  • Committees are currently being formed to work on the event; anyone who is interested is asked to call Dantia Gould (778-1880) or e-mail her (dantia@planttender.com).
  • This season we have sold general admission tickets to our concerts. Click on the tickets button on the left for more details.

Our Second Annual Youth Concerto Competition was held Saturday, January 19, 2008. The following were finalists in the competition:

Theodoretus Breen, String Bass, First Place winner

Stephanie Oldano, Flute, and Nicole Riccardo, Bassoon, Second and Third Place winners

Nikki Windle, Trombone, Fourth Place Winner

We had a cross section of representatives of schools in the Manatee and Sarasota counties and literally the "cream of the crop!" All four will receive cash prizes and solo with the Anna Maria Island Orchestra.
